As the motivation to 'go green' becomes ever greater, giving up the car and cycling instead has become an increasingly popular option. This environmentally aware mind-set, linked with first class service and a huge range of bikes and accessories available both in their high street stores and online, has translated into booming business for the Edinburgh Bicycle Co-operative (EBC).
To ensure their customers continue to receive the excellent levels of 'Customer Satisfaction', which has always been paramount to their business, EBC have taken the next step in controlling their supply chain and improving overall efficiency by selecting a new Warehouse Management System for their busy Distribution Centre. During an in depth review of the WMS market, EBC were attracted to the 'No Capex' solution provided by the Snapfulfil SaaS WMS, along with their 35 years experience and proven track record of customer satisfaction.
EBC were also attracted to the Snapfulfil 'No Nonsense' solution and were keen to utilise a comprehensive RF Driven system which can be funded directly from revenue, without the need to tie up large amounts of capital.
Bill Rennie, Warehouse Manager for EBC remarked, "We are going through a period of expansion and our need for a WMS was high on the agenda. I looked at various systems on the market and decided that the Snapfulfil model best suited our needs i.e. the ease of setup, compatibility with our existing 4D system, fulfilment of all of the warehousing needs and last but not least, value!"
As Christmas is rapidly approaching, the next few months promise to be busier than ever, so a quick and smooth implementation will be key to the project's success. By utilising a SaaS WMS solution their implementation time will be 6-8 weeks, not the 6-8 months they had been warned to expect and will ensure that the expected savings and efficiency gains will be realised as soon as possible.
With the Snapfulfil and EBC team's working hard on the project, the future does indeed look very bright for everyone at Edinburgh Bicycle Co-operative.
