Snapfulfil Gets ‘Ringside’ with Their First US Customer

Snapfulfil SaaS Warehouse Management Software announces the signing of its first US customer following its North American launch in March 2010.

Ringside is the leading US distributor of equipment, gear, and apparel for fighting sports: boxing, martial arts, and wrestling.  Ringside started in 1978 with a four page boxing catalog.  Today, in addition to managing over 20 catalogs per year, Ringside manages and fulfills for Ringside.com, CombatSports.com, FightFanShop.com, MatMonster.com as well as 10 additional partner sites. From fitness enthusiasts to elite world champions and everything in between, Ringside delivers sports equipment to the doorsteps of people and organizations throughout the world.

Ringside, who are already demonstrating strong growth, are determined to position their fulfillment operations as a strategic competency.  A plan for doubling the size of the company over the next three years requires an intense focus on operating efficiencies.   Excellent customer service, delivering the right product on time, every time is also a core enabler of growth.  In addition, increasing inventory turns through precise inventory visibility is a key balance sheet objective.   Ringside determined that it needed to upgrade its operations by implementing a WMS with Tier One functionality to achieve its goals.

Jeff Joyce, Ringside COO, led an RFP process with several vendors across the spectrum of WMS providers.  “I found Snapfulfil warehouse management softwre systsem to be a Tier One SaaS WMS solution at a fraction of the total cost of ownership we were shown by other vendors, plus providing rapid deployment.  A definite plus with Snapfulfil is that we can focus on using the software to operate our business and don’t have to manage IT hardware and infrastructure as well.  Also, the fact that Snapfulfil doesn’t get paid until we go-live assured me they will do what it takes to get the job done right and on time.”

Snapfulfil is a product created by Synergy Logistics in the UK based on its 30 years of WMS experience.  It was launched by Synergy North America Inc. in the US in March of this year. “We are delighted to have Ringside as our first US customer, further enhancing our growing Snapfulfil customer base,” said Mark Darley-Usmar, Managing Director of Synergy Logistics. “Their focus on growth aligns well with the flexibility we developed in our business model, requiring no capital investment and a simple, user based subscription model that scales with our customers’ success.  We also appreciate that Ringside recognized our commitment to the North American market, having assembled a strong team of distribution software industry experts at our North America headquarters in Charleston, SC.  It demonstrates that this investment was indeed valuable to our clients.  Ringside’s decision plus the substantial levels of interest expressed by many other prospects in the past few months, demonstrates that the time is right for innovative WMS solutions, which fully embrace the Software as a Service approach.”
