Snapfulfil, the Warehouse Management System offered in a Software as a Service format with a unique business model, is being launched into the North American supply chain execution market.

With the dust barely settled, following the construction of Heathrow’s ground breaking new Terminal 5, BAA and its consulting partner Wilson James are already forging ahead with their next project, the replacement of Heathrow’s Terminal 2.

Founded in 1991, Wilson James has established itself as one of the leading providers of construction & aviation logistics and consultancy services in the UK. With services including, construction site logistics & support services, Supply Chain Management, logistics consultancy and traffic management.  Wilson James provides an award-winning blend of skilled, highly motivated personnel and effective use of the latest technology.

As part of their program of continuous project review and service enhancement, they identified that in order to efficiently control the inventory for the hundreds of different suppliers to the T2 project they would require a Tier 1 Warehouse Management Software (WMS) flexible enough to cope with the very specific demands of their client, but they wanted to avoid the usual headaches associated with modifying and implementing a traditional Warehouse Management System.

Following a careful review of the WMS market and analysis of resources required to develop their own system, the combination of functionality, RF capability, comprehensive project management and simple monthly subscription business model provided by Snapfulfil, proved to be the perfect solution to their project requirements.

Kevin Rookes, manager for the project remarked, “Despite the challenges inherent in any project involving the enormous range of materials used in the construction of a major building and the differing storage requirements that each of these supplies requires, we were very confident that Snapfulfil would be up to the challenge. By utilising the flexible nature of the Rules Engine and the built in system functionality, we were delighted to see the project “Go Live” on time and already catering for the requirements of this major venture.”

Commented Mark Darley-Usmar, Managing Director of Synergy and developers of Snapfulfil, “ We are delighted to continue to demonstrate the power and flexibility of the Snapfulfil system in providing sophisticated solutions to organisations of the stature of BAA and Wilson James.  Equally importantly on time and on budget “
